Location good, about 10 min walk from Ferry’s and Restaurants. Family Mart just around the corner. They offer many free drinks in the lounge: Sake (afternoons), sparkling water, tea… Room somewhat larger than for instance APAhotels! And….USBcharger next to your bed. Also, enough poweroutlets. Free luggage storage before and after check out and help will calling a taxi <3. Sweet staff! Arigato Goizamasu! Tip: 1) avoid the buses as most as you can! Free bikes are awesome! Maesato beach is about 25 min by bike (belongs to a hotel but day guests are welcome, just follow the signs on the property). Tip 2) Put your laundry in the machine when you go for breakfast, in the afternoon the machines are usually occupied. Tip 3) Taxi to airport is about 3500 yen Tip 4) Definitely take the ferry to Taketomi and rent a bike there Tip 5) if you go to Kabira Bay and use Google Maps: dont put in 'Kabira Bay' as your destination because you will end up in the middle of nowhere. Use 'Kabira Observation Point' or 'Kabira Park'. The last one is also the name of the busstop.

Everything! Feels homy with kind staffs. Everything is thoughtful. Telephone by the elevator that directly connects to a taxi company. So many herbal tea to choose and bring to the room. Soda water beer andI heard there is even Awamori service time. Sunlotion and body cream in the room. Full amenities and extra. Versatile breakfast. Education wise, they have quiz sheet for us to learn about Ishigaki, also a language tree for us to learn and write and add on a tree. My friend broke her sandals and the staff fixed them, too. I have been in my life so many hôtels. Patina is one of the best! Professional but Warm, and homy and lots of thoughts into the place! Highly recommended.

Comfortable/delightful setting. Resort setting with amenities even 5 star do not provide! Coffee tea special teas, awamori shochu happy hour, breakfast every morning, sparkling water, purified water, scented candles, washing machine, direct call taxi telephone, free bike rentals, and more water pressure with hot water than even Ritz Carlton in the shower! Yes it’s a bit worn, but it puts the Patina in the hotel….i stayed 1 week, would stay the whole summer in season, plus sandals, shirts, and trousers…. Plus many restaurants nearby, convenience store 50 feet away, and 5 minute walk to ferry’s!

Cozy hotel with a lot of interesting effort to engage its guests: you can fill out the questionnaire about local knowledge and/or to tick items which don't need to be changed in your room, to win points for exchanging small souvenirs at the front desk. Free herbal tea (a good range of selections), coffee and even aroma oil burner sets available for free rental. I didn't rent the bicycles but they seem to be available too. Breakfast is basic but enough to kick start the day. I also like how my room has a balcony where I can wash and dry my swimsuit.

Very sweet place, extremely friendly and helpful staff, comfortable, clean, quiet rooms, simple, but very carefully prepared and good breakfast buffet, which changed a little from day to day, with some local style dishes, as well as miso soup, rice, bread, etc. Coffee and tea availalble all day. Free bicycles avaiable up to 5 hours. Less than 10 minute walk to ferry and bus terminals, as well as the market, center of city. All at a very good price point.
